How the Pricing Works
We generally base our prices on the cubic volume removed. As you add to the load, the price will rise accordingly – and yet, we’re more cost-effective than dumpsters. For example, if you’re considering buying a Bagster, you may be surprised to learn that we’re actually cheaper. You see, the Baster costs $29.99 to buy the bag, but then you still have to pay for the actual collection service. That typically runs $99, and the Bagster holds less than 3 cubic yards.
We remove 4 cubic yards of junk for only $99. You’ll actually save $30 while getting more stuff out of your way. And you won’t have to haul everything out to the curb because we include the labor in that $99 rate. You also won’t pay sales tax on any part of our service like you would on the bag purchase.
Compared to the Other Guys
Regardless of load size, it’s important to consider the cost per square yard. Take our competitor with the blue trucks….. those blue trucks look huge, but they hold less than 14 cubic yards, and you’ll pay about $558 for that full load. We routinely carry more than 20 cubic yards in one visit, and we only charge $499 before applicable discounts (We’re talking to you seniors, veterans, and our local neighbors!) Why pay nearly $40 for a cubic yard of debris when we’re charging less than $25? Another local competitor runs about $30 a cubic yard. This is closer in price, but it’s still more than the $20 - $25 a cubic yard that JDog runs.
Of course, there are situations where the pricing structure changes, but you’ll find that this is the case with almost all junk haulers. One is if there’s a heavy payload. We typically see this with construction debris, dirt, and concrete. The other is if you have a whole lot of little stuff that needs to be bagged. However, we warn people about these situations ahead of time so that there won’t be any surprises, and the price difference is built into the estimate.
Free On-Site Estimates
We offer free on-site estimates so that you’ll know what to expect. We can typically provide you with a firm, fair price. If we mess up and underbid the job, then we’ll eat the difference. However, if we get it wrong and overbid the job, then we’ll slide the price down when the work is done. We’ve sat through high-pressure presentations before, and we don’t care for them. That’s why we offer no-obligation consultations. We’ll let you know what the price is and then let you make the decision on booking right away, waiting for a later time, or getting back with us in the future if you decide to move forward.
The Big Day
On the day of the job, our friendly crew will arrive with all the necessary tools and other supplies. You can expect our workers to introduce themselves to you so that you’ll know who’s on the property at all times. If you’ve opted to have an estimate done at the same time as the job, then they’ll start with the estimate. Otherwise, they’ll review the scope of work with you and get started on the cleanout. When the work is done, they’ll collect payment from you and then be on their merry way.
